Hello, Parkview Parents,

Thank you all of you who are attended our Halloween Parties this week. We had a great time as you can see! Halloween Picture.jpg

If you haven't done so yet and for future school events, please come to our office to fill out a background check form as soon as possible.

In your child's Friday Folder tonight, you will find his/her school pictures. If you would like to have them retaken, the day is Nov. 13th for retakes in the morning. Please return the packet with your student. If you did not have your student's picture taken on the first picture day, but would like to now, please stop by our office to fill out a picture packet form on or before the 13th.

Remember, Thanksgiving Break is Nov. 20-24, only two weeks away. There is no school this week.

Mark your calendars for Holiday Happenings on Dec. 7th at 6:00 and the first grade music concert on December 18th at 7:00 at the CPAC. More on this soon.

Hopefully we won't need this too soon, but if we do have a school closing day due to weather, you will receive a Skylert Phone Call very early in the morning or late the night before of this day. This call will not come from me, but an administrator who is in charge of doing the student school wide call out for a school closure due to weather. You will also find up to date information on the Charlotte Public Schools Facebook page and then on the local TV stations as quickly as they get it recorded.

We are going to celebrate our monthly reading logs early this month, on Nov. 17th before the break. Thank you for doing your part and reading each night with your student. Our percentage is 80 this month, so every reading log counts!

Tuesday is the last day for all 2/3 graders who are swimming on Wednesday of this week to send in their permission slips with the needed $2.00. Those permission slips are in Friday Folders today.

Our student council is helping with "Treats for Troops." Please consider helping our great student show their dedication to helping those soldiers who will not be home for the holidays.

Have a great fall weekend! KIM
